How Do I Download a File?

First off it is recommended that you create a new folder or sub-directory on your hard drive. You might want to call it 'download'. When you go to a download site and click on the file name or button you will be asked where you want to download the file to. Save it to your new sub directory. When the file has finished it journey, go to that sub-directory. If the file name ends with 'exe' this means the file is self-extracting, double click on it with your mouse and the file will do one of two things. The file will either start the installation process or it will expand to a set of files. Normally there will be a 'setup.exe' or 'install.exe'. Double click on this file to kick off the install. If the file name ends with 'zip', you need to have an unzip program such as Pkunzip. If you need this program, go to the Download page.
